LSU

So, one of my best friends and his wife went to Baton Rogue to witness the Dawgs whoopin' up on the LSU tigers! I wasn't able to go, but did watch it with my buddies. During the game, we saw Moreno running ALL OVER LSU!!! If you saw him do this Saturday....

You may have been wondering what he was doing.... As the story goes, the LSU student body stole his cell phone # and were making harassing calls to him all week. So when he scored his long touchdown, he was wondering where all the calls were now... That story is pretty interesting, but not entirely the truth. As I've been told, LSU is supposed to have some really hot women....My buddy confirmed it....He said he talked to Knowshon and that he wasn't really taunting the crowd....He just saw the hottest LSU girl in the stands and was just mocking and telling her "Hey baby, holla at me sometime". Luckily my buddy got this picture of the "hottest LSU babe" in the stadium that day.....and ladies and gentlemen....here she is!

WOW! LSU girls SURE ARE HOT!!! i may send my diploma back to UGA and request one from Cajun Country...

p.s. even though my buddy tried to hook up with this broad...he told me the hottest woman in the stadium wasn't this girl...it was his wife.... :)

GO DAWGS! 52-38!

Halloween Ghost

So, my boy Dylan loves to be scared...but he hates to be scared. You know what i mean!?!?! Anyways, we were looking on the internet the other day at 'Ghost'. Cause he was asking me if they were real. We found all kinds of stories about ghosts. Ghost in Savannah, Ghost in Columbus, Ghost in Thomaston.... I remembered a story about that ghost from 'Three Men and a Baby'. Remember, the one where they were filming the movie...then when viewing it they saw a little boy standing in the background.... after much research, they found out a little boy had died in that same room they shot the scene in. Everyone has seen that... i know. well, here is something almost just like it that we found. it's a TV commercial they shot and in the commercial...they discovered a ghost just like in the movie. This research led them to find out the ghost was someone who had died in a car wreck exactly where they shot the commercial. FREAKY. turn up the volume and check it out (it's a commercial)... look close cause the ghost comes right after the car comes around the corner out of the trees.... really, really WEIRD! DYLAN LOVED IT THOUGH!

Wednesday Night Football

Ok...so when have you ever read a blog about a middle school football game? hmmm...probably NEVER...but....here is one for ya so you can check it off your list....

today, the Upson-Lee Middle School football team will be at home playing Grey's Station Middle school at Matthew's field in thomaston. it's the first round of the playoffs. should be a pretty good game. ULMS takes a 5-1 record into the game and Grey's takes a 4-2 record into the game.

why so interested? cause i'm the defensive coordinator for ULMS! we have a pretty stout defense this year. probably one of the biggest defenses we've had in years. i have three guys on my line who way at least 250 lbs each!!! 2 8th graders and 1 is in 9th!!! i have a good linebacker core who are very knowledgeable about the game of football and will step up and smack you in a heartbeat!!! we are very aggressive and like to call oursevelves 'head hunters'.

our offense is pretty decent. we have no speed but all the boy's play hard. we have some 'bruising' RB's who are like freight trains when we get the ball. Coach puckett does a nice job of calling plays and keeping the opposing defense off-balance.

my prediction for today is that we win 21-14. i'm not sure what the Vegas odds-makers have set the spread at....but i feel like we are going to win. we need to come out and play hard.

i have a lot of fun coaching at ULMS. i've been with our head coach, Wayne Puckett for about 7 years now. we have won 4 championships during that time. i mainly coach because i like working with that age group in football. i have a good time with all the coaches and we get along great. the game of football is awesome because of the whole 'chess match' mentality you have to have as a coach and being able to knock the crap out of someone as a player is a neat idea too...ha, ha...

check back with me tomorrow and i'll tell you how bad we 'whooped 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE OUTDOORS PHILOSOPHER

I love being outside. Doesn't matter what for: cutting grass, coaching, raking leaves, in the hay field, hunting, on the river.....DOESN"T MATTER! And why do i like it so much...biggest reason is i get to think! This weekend i got to spend a lot of time outside and here is what i thought about....

1. i have the best and most beautiful fiance in the world! i've been waiting 30 years for her and thank God every single day that she is in my life. She's my best friend and i love her more than anything in the world!!!!!!!!! if you can find someone better than this woman....let me know....i'll put her up against anyone!!!! you not going to find a more compassionate, sincere, humble, strong, smart, beautiful woman than her....she is AWESOME!!!! and to make it even better...she has two of the best kids i know!!!! unbelievable kids! a testimony to the woman she is...

2. i miss my sisters and brother! i say it all the time....they are the best in the world.... i can't remember a single time in the past 10 years where we've had disagreements or NOT had good times when we are around each other! i can't wait to see them again...and relish the chance to visit them....

3. my parents are awesome. i know 100 % that they love me and want to see the best for me. i can't wait to spend the day with my dad tomorrow driving 3 hrs to moultrie for the ag expo...walk around looking at tractors for 3 hrs. and then riding 3 hrs. home. i do it....cause i know pops loves it...and it is good QT with the BEST MAN i know!

4. i have the Best Grandparents in the world!!!!! i mean...spend 5 minutes with any of them...and you'll want them for your own!!! but....you can't have them....naw...jk....i'll share them!!!

5. my dog is the best!!!! this joker is seriously a 'good friend of mine'....Wallace sometimes honestly seems like a human to me.... he's the smartest dog i know.... and seriously makes me laugh out loud at the things he does!!! i love him because he

6. i love my friends....you can't beat them! i've got them spread out all over Georgia and the US, one in Alaska, and one in Iraq. but i know that if i need any of them...they'll be there as soon as they possibly can to help me out!

anyways, next time you just want to think....go for a walk, or a jog, or cut some grass, or go to the deerstand, or go to the hayfield (please come help on Bentley Farms, we can use all the help we can get).... i love to think and i love everyone that's in my life!

Georgia Bulldog's 'Blackout'

Some people who have read my first few blogs have asked me when i'm going to start talking about the Georgia Bulldogs and their game vs. Alabama. Well....

I JUST DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT! (i'm sure i'll be over it come 3:30 Saturday afternoon though)

I'm just saying...

ok...so, i'm just saying....we are going over the Roman Empire in my World history class. used a chart in our textbook today to discuss the fall of Rome. may sound boring...but, read over some of the contributing factors to the fall of Rome...

Contributing factors to the causes of the fall of the Roman Empire

Political

political office seen as a burden, not a reward

military interferance in politics

civil war and unrest

division of empire

social

decline of interest in public affairs

low confidence in government

disloyalty, lack of patriotism, corruption

contrast between rich and poor

Economic

poor harvests

disruption of trade

war plunder

gold and silver drain

inflation

crushing tax burden

widening gap between rich and poor and increasingly impovershed western Empire

military

threats from northern european tribes

low funds for defense

problems recruiting

decline of patriotism and loyalty among soldiers

NOW....go back and don't think about Rome...but apply all of those factors to the United States today and what'ya think?!?!??! scary!??! unbelievable!??!?

i ain't trying to scare nobody or anything like that....but it does make your think! the way our government is today (both Dems and GOP) and the way our nation could be after the elections....possible division....hmmmmmm......or maybe i should say.....WOW!

that being said....what do you think about 'the bailout'? unbelievable! i'm not a very smart man...but have been trying to follow it pretty closely. seems like such an easy problem to fix...but our POLITICIANS have made it soooooo complicated!!! disgusting if you think about it! i mean, does it really take a 400 page bill!?!??!?

want to read about an interesting way to pay for the bailout? check this blog out i read...it's from Mark Cuban who owns the Dallas Mavericks...and a self-made GAZILLIONAIRE....pretty interesting read! http://blogmaverick.com/2008/09/30/how-to-tax-wall-street-give-it-to-main-street/

or...go check out my 'main man' Dave Ramsey's solution at http://www.daveramesy.com/ . even if you are not into the economic mess...you still need to get into some of his ideas....good stuff!

my question on the 'economic mess'....why should EVERYONE in America pay for the mess only a FEW greedy nimrods caused!?!? i know we all may be effected by what's happening...but i'm just saying....my goodness......this is ridiculous..

as far as the debate last night....i thought Sarah Palin was the 'man'! she did great. you can definitely tell she is the 'outsider'...and NOT a Washington politician! she connects with me as being just like me....and not that normal politician who plays political sides and only votes along party lines....i'm just saying...

1st Blog

Alright....here is a blog for my sisters that i'll try to keep up with...but, they'll probably not like it cause i imagaine all i'll talk about is sports!!! so beanie and katie, i'm apologizing in advance, but maybe you'll learn something new about sports...which is pretty much my life! :) (other than my fam and God of course)

anyways, so....the baseball playoffs.... i'm not some big obssessed MLB fan. i do follow it...and watch the braves just about every night during the summer. but...it's hard for me to sit down and watch two teams other than the braves play unless it's the playoffs. i do like baseball a lot and i think the main reason is because it's so American. there is nothing better to do sports wise during the summer than to be at Turner Field watching the braves. it's an unbelievable atomosphere. i love it! baseball is so relaxing to watch. to me...it's like this...you sit there drinking and eating and relaxing and then all the sudden....'bam'....EXCITEMENT...and then....you go back to relaxing.... there is nothing like it in the summer time! i do enjoy keeping up with the playoffs.....so...here are my picks for the post-season.....

in the national league....i'm cheering against the Cubs. Cubs fans SUCK!!! if you don't believe me...go watch them play the braves one game and you'll see how freakin' arrogant and annoying they are! i hope they go another 100 years without ever winning a title! GO DODGERS!!! i actually like Man-Ram...and i'd like to see Furcal succeed. Love Escobar to death...but why did the braves trade Furcal!?!?! can you imagine Furcal and Escobar as your middle infield!?!?!? as far as the Brewers/ Phillies Series...think the Breweres should lose just cause they fired their manager!!! Ned Yost is a good man...and he was just a scapegoat for the brewers near collapse. no way they beat the Phillies...who are STACKED! i predict the Phillies in the World Series!!!

as far as the American League.... i used to be a Red Sox fan until i went to Yankee stadium with my Dad and Brother a few weeks ago. Amazing place....AND i LOVE NEW YORK! i quickly became a Yankees fan being there...and learned to hate the Mets even more than i already did...(by the way, we went to Shea also...and the Braves whooped their butt, helping deny them a shot at the post season!) i guess i'm cheering for the Rays. i like stories where teams come from 'worst to first' and love it even more that they were able to do it against powerhouses like NYY and Boston. go Rays! do they have enough experience though!?!? if they don't make it...i'm cheering for the Angels...i just like that team. i think they got a lot of hard-working players. i like Vlad and Tex a lot. and i think their organazation is brilliant in the way they build their team. so....i predict....hmmmmm.....Angels out of the American league.....really a toss up on this one....

ok....think this is good for my first blog....1st blog and no football.....still kinda upset about the 'blackout' of the Dawgs from saturday night...but i'm sure i'll get to them soon!

anyways....LOVE YA SISSIES! hope this makes you happy!
