Santa...

Dear Santa,
For Christmas this year, this is what I want:
- another Region Championship for my soccer team
- The Georgia Bulldogs to beat the crap out of GT, Auburn, Tenn. and Florida next year
- The Hawks to get a new coach to take them to the top with all their talent!
- The Falcons to make the playoffs!
- The Braves get back to where they used to be...
- for Obama to continue going more and more and more to the Center and making all the liberals mad! (i've been impressed so far)
- many more years with my mom and dad loving me so much!
- 92 more years with Grandmom Bentley
- my Granddad Kilgores pains to go away
- many more years of Cornbread and Sweat Tea from Grandmama K
- a ring from Kevin to Beanie :)
- Katie and Ant to move closer back home!
- the woman of Will Boy's Dreams to knock him off his feet!
- to make 1 billion more memories with Jessica, Macy and Dylan (and Wallace)
- and for all the kids around the world who don't have much to get exactly what they want this Christmas!

Christmas Guilt Gone Wild

I have a confession to make. One Christmas years ago...I was laying in my bed about to DIE to know what Santa had brought me. I made sure little 'Will Boy' was asleep so I snuck out of my room, snuck down the stairs and GRABBED ONE OF MY PRESENTS FROM SANTA! I brought it back upstairs, laid in front of the space heater (the one that put off the orange glow) and I opened my Present! I must have played with it for an hour! I held it, hugged it and squeezed it tight. Then I put it back in the package, snuck BACX downstairs, checked out my other gifts, checked out my other siblings gifts, laughed at their gifts compared to MINE, and then snuck back upstairs! I've been living with this for 20 years and finally decided to get it off my chest! Whew... I feel SOOOOO much better now!!! This is going to be the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!! Oh yeah, the picture you see is the picture of the toy that's haunted me for years....

Guns and the 2nd Amendment

Recently Plaxico Burress a Wide Receiver for the NY Giants was arrested on weapon charges in NYC. With the recent attacks, robberies and murders of many different Athletes lately, I really don't blame him! He said he carried it to protect himself..and I believe him! First of all the NFL Commissioner came out with a statement and said, "if you feel you are somewhere where you need a gun, then you probably don't need to be there." Can you believe he said that!?!? I mean seriously! This morning i heard a quote by another NFL player who is Plaxico's friend (Jerry Porter) and he made it supporting his buddy. He said basically that until you have experienced danger, or been robbed, or had something violent happen to you, then you don't understand why we need guns and have athletes (or anyone) would carry guns for protection. I agree! I have been held up once with a gun pointed to my head, had a man get into my fiances car, my favorite aunt murdered, and my house broken into and a guy assault my sister. I'm telling you right now that nowadays i feel like i need a gun WHEREVER I GO!!! I can promise you that when my loved ones are around me...they will always be protected!!! I am a big proponent of protecting the 2nd Amendment. The only thing that banning guns would do would be to make the good people of the world unsafe. I heard a quote once that said that 'rules are made not to protect the innocent, but to empower the villains of the world'...think about that one, especially when dealing with banning guns. (A little hint...good people follow laws, bad people DON'T) There are many times living right here in Upson County that i DO NOT FEEL SAFE! And i will do what it takes to protect the ones I love! I recently went to NYC with my dad and brother and can honestly tell you I felt safer there than I do in Thomaston sometimes! I don't fell like our law enforcement around here do a good enough job protecting innocent people. Look at the recent crime in this county...look at all the robberies going on within the past few weeks....look at a man getting in my fiances car and what 'could have happen to her'..NOTHING was done by local law enforcement...so therefore, people have no choice but to feel comfortable and secure by protecting their selves! I'm sure this is the case all across America! I SUPPORT OWING GUNS and i SUPPORT THE 2nd Amendment....to quote my Dad a few weeks ago....'If they come and try to take my guns away, then i am barricading my house and they won't be leaving with any'...I concur Pops!!!! And I'm sure Plaxico and many others in America would agree!!!

And the issue of allowing people to own guns to hunt is a whole 'nother blog!

sorry for the lack of blogs lately....here is what i've been up too.... basically this is my daily life lately: wake up, go to work, go to practice/game, go home....see my beautiful 'future' family, deal with renovations on my house, go to sleep...up the next day...same thing... every moment i've had free, i've tried to spend with my best friends, jessica and the kids... so...i'd rather be playing COD 5 with dylan, getting my 'hair done' by macy, or just snuggling with my baby, instead of typing on a computer screen!!!! FORGIVE ME ALL YOU PEOPLE BEGGING FOR MY BLOGS!!!

anyways...as far as my thoughts on what's going on in the world...

President elect Obama: he's our President now, so we need to support him and hope that he can get us out of the economic mess we are in, continue the fight against terrorism, and continue to make us the greatest country in the world...among other things. He wasn't my choice, but gotta get behind him and hope for the best...

The Dawgs: oh my....no leaders on defense...at all...that's the problem. coaching? partly Martinez's fault, partly Richts fault...but until the boy's start doing what they are taught....Defense will never get better....

The Braves: quit releasing the farm for a bunch of NO NAME PITCHERS!!! crazy...we need Shurholz back in charge.

well, that's all my brain can process right now...too much other stuff on my mind! by the way, i started collecting Political campaign buttons, so if anyone has any extra...hook a brother up....

alright...maybe i'll write one sooner than a month.....
